EAP or employee assistance programs have been formulated keeping in mind the overall welfare and productivity of the employees. Objective of EAP supervisory training

Employee assistance program training aims to find the root cause of the problem being faced by a particular employee. Through EAP supervisory training, supervisors at various levels are trained to take care of the well-being of employees under them by following certain established guidelines.

EAP supervisory training for supervisors consists of well-formulated steps through which supervisors are trained to cater to employee problems and grievances. These include:

  • Relationship between EAP, performance appraisal & disciplinary process
  • The role and responsibility of supervisors, medical officers and other involved personnel
  • Documentation of employee problems and performance
  • Skills and means to be used to help employees overcome their short comings and problems
  • Disciplinary action and removals & firings
  • Reintegration of employees

Various manuals are used in the EAP supervisory training to help train the supervisors in an effective manner. These can also be used later by supervisors for reference.
