EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION
Orientation is important because it lays a foundation for a successful start.  First impressions are important since they establish the basis for everything that follows. Without orientation, a new employee sometimes feels uncomfortable in his/her new position and takes longer to reach his/her full potential.  Employee Orientation should also address building confidence and comfort with new surroundings, communications with colleagues and supervisors, clear understanding of the job responsibilities in order to help the employee hit the ground running.  Find out what are the most important issues to be addressed and when.  Explore how to deliver your orientation program in the most effective ways.

The result is often a confused new employee who is not productive and is more likely to leave the organization within a year!
